WIAS
The Warwickshire Industrial Archaeology Society was formed in 1989
with the aim of promoting the study, recording and preservation of
the industrial archaeology of Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull.
The Society is affiliated to the Association for Industrial
Archaeology. The main activity of the Society is the regular monthly
meeting, with talks by visiting speakers, although additional visits
to sites within Warwickshire and beyond are arranged on an
occasional basis. The Society has a thriving membership - from
dedicated specialists to enthusiastic amateurs - and is always keen
to welcome new members. If you would like to come along as visitor
first please do so. There is a small charge to cover
refreshments.
Web Site
The web site has now been running for over 4 years and
contributions & comments are always welcomed. Back issues of the WIAS newsletter are available, new issues are added quarterly.
There is a comprehensive list of WIAS and other events of
interest and again, contributions are welcomed. Visit the page
with a selection of items from the sales table which can be
reserved on line. The Useful Links page contains just that and
if there is something you would particularly like to see
included, please let us know!
