WIAS
The Warwickshire Industrial Archaeology Society was formed in 1989 with the aim of promoting the study, recording and preservation of the industrial archaeology of Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull. The Society is affiliated to the Association for Industrial Archaeology. The main activity of the Society is the regular monthly meeting, with talks by visiting speakers, although additional visits to sites within Warwickshire and beyond are arranged on an occasional basis. The Society has a thriving membership - from dedicated specialists to enthusiastic amateurs - and is always keen to welcome new members. If you would like to come along as visitor first please do so. There is a small charge to cover refreshments.

Web Site
The WIAS website welcomes contributions  & comments. All issues of the WIAS newsletter are available and are added quarterly. Copies of the WIAS original publication, RETORT, have also been added. There is a comprehensive list of WIAS and other events of interest and again, contributions are welcomed. The Useful Links page contains just that and if there is something you would particularly like to see included, please let us know! The site has recently undergone a makeover - we hope you like the new layout and colour scheme. Mac users will also find the display much better. To see a snapshot of the original WIAS site click here.

Adobe Software
The newsletters and Retort magazine are in Adobe pdf format. If you need Adobe Reader click on the logo - it's free!
